Cortijo La Zorra
stands in itsown 7 hectares of almond and olive trees and nestles in
the hillsbeneath the Sierra del Viento
( Mountain of the Wind). Close by are the picturesque towns of Velez
Rubio with its colourful market and Velez Blanco with its
Moorish fort and breath-taking views of the mountain and
national park.
A short distance away is the coastal resort
of Aquilas. Sandy beaches stretch from here to old Mojacar, a
typical unspoilt Andalucian town of great charm perched on a
hill overlooking the sea.
Cortijo La Zorra is off the
beaten track, yet only 3 kilometres from the Autovía, giving
easy access to Alicante, Murcia and Almeria airport and all
the mayor cities of Spain, including Granada which is less
than two hours away, with its famous Alhambra Palace and the
superb skiing in the nearby Sierra Nevada.
